One Of Those Nights

Tonight was one of those nights where I was so ready to be in “In Silos View”. Aside from not sleeping well last night, I had a long day at work which ended up being two hours longer then normal. This lead to a slightly crabby baby, since she goes to work with me and was over it well before work was even suppose to be over yet.

Once we got on the road Gemma our 8 month old was soon napping which she needed. I picked up fast food because no way was I cooking. Which as you get to know me you will know is my last resort, since I was raised knowing only how to make things from scratch which is both a blessing and a curse.

When we turned on our road seeing as I don’t have enough hands to carry Gemma, my ridiculously over sized diaper bag, two cups, and a bag of food I called Tyler asking for help. The sight of our silos gave me that breath of relief.

We enjoyed our dinner, then Tyler showed Gemma and I some work he did in the shop to prep for farming season. When we came back in Gemma sat on the floor playing. Last Thursday she started crawling. She also had started pushing up on her knees and trying to pull herself up to stand on her own. Well tonight in a blink of an eye she pulled herself and was standing! It is a little reminder each day my baby is less of a baby and closer to being a toddler.

Moments like this are the reminder of how important time at HOME with your family is. When you get home and leave everything else at the door, in your vehicle, or in my case down the street or around the corner once I see those silos the door is open to watch your life grow! Instead of being caught up in everything else, especially what went wrong with your day you get to enjoy the little special moments in life.
