Since before Gemma turned 7 months old she started sleeping in her own room in her crib. Believe me I could of kept her in our room forever. Not for everyone, but her being my first I loved having her close by.
Once she was in her room aside from the baby monitor I felt it was best for me to also sleep with our door open since hers is closed. Now the reason the door was always closed was to keep Dolly in and the cats out. Mostly because our cats have issues.
So these “issues” I have since been reminded of and it’s really easy to describe they are overly ANNOYING at night. Melania has a horrible habit of meowing literally everyone anything or one moves even a little awake or asleep. It is super loud and obnoxious. Then if you don’t respond she proceeds to do so in hour face.
Along with this she also learned early on if she walks on Dolly who likes to sleep under the covers, she gets her to growl. AKA get off of me!!! Dolly HATES it!!!! It is somewhat funny, but she basically does the same thing to me.
Now Baron prefers less meow and more creepy staring that you feel when you close your eyes. Then you open your eyes and he’s an inch from your face. Which can be a little disturbing.
Never the less they both also think it’s great at all hours of the night to get in fights in the bed or run around in and out of the room like balloons letting out air. The also make a blood curdling sound as they do it!
More or less this has just made me wonder if this is normal or is it just my cats that think this is acceptable? My other two childhood cats never did such things. Our one barn cat is about as clingy as the two of them. They both were my barn cat rescues. They a a really both great cats, but a little unique.
