Am I the only person who hoards cosmetics and toiletries like it’s a start of a pandemic again? No seriously I’ve drastically dwindled with odd habit I’ve had as long as I remember.
I mean stupid things like dozens of perfumes and lotions in scents I will never wear but was gifted. Eye liner that came as an add on for just a dollar more. The little freebie grooming kit or cosmetic bag. The silly random things that it makes NO SENSE to keep, especially not for years!
Well this only hit 10.5 months… so not a year. So I got two of those beauty face masks tucked into one of my baby shower gifts. I’m not kidding when I say I’ve wanted to use them! However in wanting to use them I have physically moved them everywhere!
They went upstairs, downstairs, in a box, in a pile, in my “mommy” bag for hospital, out of that bag, then back in, went to the hospital for delivery all, back home, sat in said “mommy” bag for a month at least, upstairs downstairs, in a drawer, in a cabinet, out of the cabinet, and God only knows where else! However, they ended up behind my faucet on my sink so I would finally use them!
Yes behind my faucet as I’m trying to get more involved with my skin because having a baby makes you suddenly look and feel older! Being a mom also makes you look tired very very tired and in my case I’ve developed some wrinkles so I think. My husband disagrees. Well I decided to look to see if one happened to be a charcoal peel mask. Thinking I have some white heads this could be good.
Well after all the moving and work and did I mention even rinsing them off because my shampoo from the hospital leaked everywhere! I read the following on the label “lavender something or another with seaweed extract” and then I turn over the other to also read this products in infused with “blah blah extract, this extract, that extract, and SEAWEED extract”.
…………….10.5 months of saving and moving and washing off a product that I would of or will get a giant rash from………..
You are thinking okay so what…. I’m severely ALLERGIC to SEAWEED!!!
SMH!! (I never use short hand but my face to this as it went in the trash was priceless!)
Yes that brand doesn’t get my vote!
P.S. if your the person who got this for me I truly do think it’s funny! I posted this and clearly I had to share the funny story. Honestly, I know who you are and if you ever see this I hope you think this is as funny as I do! Or just don’t remember!
