Did something I don’t often do thanks to my friends husband! He suggested we go out shopping and to lunch! It is probably my first time going shopping with a friend in well over a year! It was a blast!
Getting out though is a reminder of my “momsiety”. I literally have a problem with being away from Gemma and the farm. As soon as I could see the farm in the distance on our way home it was the relief. It’s truly my happy place.
Getting out now is my chance because as little as I have done all winter I will be doing less in the spring. Soon it will be planting time and planting time on the farm means lots of chores. Running back and fourth to the fields as my husband and the family need things. Last year being very pregnant at that time I was not as much help as I like.
It will be a little different with two extra feet in tow but I know Gemma will enjoy helping. Plus she loves chores with the animals. Which hopefully we can add a few new pens to get her some more friends since she loves farm animals!
A lot of people have a hard time understanding why we can’t just drop things and do whatever we want. They don’t get why we would want to stay so busy or work so hard. It is the most rewarding job that doesn’t even feel like a job since it is home. Being right in silos view from all but a few fields is by far the best feeling of all. Well worth enjoying the beautiful weather from the farm!
